What are you doing with that pole?

My name's Mustafa and I want to share that what happened some interesting events in Australia whit you.
Firstly When i arrived Australia, I was shocked by asian people who live Australia. There was a lot of asian people at the airport and I hesitated where i was.
I was sure that I must have been in Sydney...
If I had known that there a lot of asian people live in Sydney, I wouldn't have prefered london to Sydey. Please don't misunderstood me, I like asian people such as others. I am not a racist.

Secondly When i went to super market i was shocked again because every things more expensive than my country especially fish prize. I am still not able to understand why fish's prizes are so expensive. Australia is a huge island actually it is not an island, it is a continent and you can see sea anywhere. anyway

The last one is really ridiculous. If you walk around onthe streets, You can see any maintenance or built, please  lookover it little bit more. You can see easily measures Especially signs person. It is really funny. When they work even at dead street, They put alot of signs and extra 2 or 3 signholders and genarally they     work totally 6-8 persons but only 2 person really work.

If you come to here I believe that you can like it. All of them really friendy.

and the free festivals ROCK!

Australia is a country that is similar and very different to my country at the same time.

Here there is a lot of beautiful landscapes like beaches with huge mountains behind, this is one of the things that is similar to my country.

Also here has an amazing desert with beautiful red rocks that I’ve never seen something similar before.

I thought the people very friendly and they really know how to enjoy their lives, in Sao Paulo, the city that I live, everybody just think about work hard and earn money and here I can feel that the people don’t think like that. They really know how to enjoy their free time.

In Sydney there are some free festivals which are very good to promote culture and it is a very good entertainment.

Also, there is some sports that are very popular here like cricket, rugby and sailing. It is amazing to go to opera house and see all the sailboats, I really want to sail in one of these when I have a opportunity.

Another thing that I love here are the parks, they are all very beautiful and it is very good to seat on the grass and listen to music or read a book, the botanic garden is amazing and there is a place there that has the best view of the opera house.

Here is a very organized, there is a good transport network and is very safety either. This is the most difference between my city and Sidney. Sao Paulo is a huge city with a lot of people, the population of Sao Paulo exceeds 11 million of people, so there is a lot of traffic on the rush hour and If you need to get a bus or the subway on that time they are all very full.

Sydney is a amazing city because here you can find all the kind of things you want, has all the advantages of living in a big city and also there is amazing beaches. I really loved to know this city.

Is that a banana in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

This is not funny story but just my surprise in Sydney.

I wanted to buy some vegetables and fruits and many people were sending me to the PADDYs market. This is a big market mostly operated by Asian people. There should have cheap vegetables and fruits, so I went there after my school. To my surprise there were a lot of tables with all kinds of different stuff you can imagine and I think also about thousands and thousands people. All sellers were shouting prices of their products and how cheap they are. For example: ”mango, one dollar, one dollar, one dollar, mango” or “one dollar banana, one dollar”. It was strange and ridiculous for me. People were pushing to each other and wanted to buy their chosen stuff.
So, this is my experience to buying fruits and vegetables. It's true that there is everything cheaper than anywhere else, but it is not for people who like shopping in relax or quiet background.

The trouble with Bogota is....

Bogota Vs. Sydney

Bogota is the city where I was born. It is the capital of my country and is one of the most beautiful and developed cities in South America. I like Bogota but linvig in Sydney I have seen a lot of beautiful things and also I have found a lot differences between both cities.

Sydney is bigger than Bogota however the most common thing that you can need are very close; in Bogota you can spend one hour by bus just for get a drink with your friends in a very good place. In Sydney you can find pubs and clubs anywhere.

Both cities are beatiful but Sydney has beaches and harbour and Bogota doesn't have anything like that.

In Sydney the people have more freedom, here you can wear whatever you want and take a siesta in the park or read a book in the street, in Bogota doing something like this is not very common, you can wear the clothes that you want but the people all the time look at you like a stranger insect and is better take a siesta in your own house because is not so safe sleep in the parks.

Sydney is very natural and full of green Bogota is more grey and full of buildings and sometimes is very poluted.

I'm gonna miss Sydney but I love my city and want to be there.

Mitch Buchannan to the rescue

Mitch Buchannon to the Rescue
During my first week on Australian lands, I hand't have an "aussie" mobile phone. I was literaly desperate. Is quite difficult to be comfortable without having something to communicate, and even more if you're in a foreign city where almost everyone speaks a different language.
On friday (8 days after landing on Sydney), my mother sent me a few bucks to buy a mobile. I'm not a guy who like to spend a lot of money on phones because, let's be serious, what is the main point of this appliance? To make and receive calls, anything else is fancy and pointless.
But, I was on Sydney so, what the hell. I want a phone which also can cut my nails.
Finally I bought one for 400 AUSD. I was so happy, but i had to put it into charge during almost 12 hours.
The next morning I turned it on my mobile, and I received a text from one of my friends. She was inviting me to go to Bondi.
I was so happy because she was one of the most stunning girls that I've ever met before, and she was nice as well. (Actually she's one of the reasons why I love germany). But my happiness was vanish after 3 minutes when I realized that i ad no freaking idea on how to reach that place. I barely knew how to take a bus.
Finally, I managed after a couple of hours with the help of my brand new phone to met her at the beach.
Dear Lord, as soon as I saw her I became retarded. (I still remember the moment when she took out her skirt, and showed her marvelous body to the world demostrating that God truly exists).
So, Felipe try to impress her doing a walk on the beach like a Baywatch character, running towards the water in slow motion trying to save a poor random girl before she got drawn.
The german girl was laughning because of my Mitch Buchannon impress and suddenly I realized that my phone was on my pocket.
Bloody hell, i said. I took out of my phone and it was broken. Almost 400 bucks to the rubish bin. But, at least I made her laugh, wich was totally worth for it.

Sausages and potatoes for Chritmas dinner?

There are different kinds of Christmas parties around the world, if you go to different countries, you will see many different cultures, but here comes my story.
I went to Australia with my girl friend two months ago. First of all, we decided to go for a trip around the east coast of Queensland, a huge State of Australia.
It was nearly to Christians and we have passed through many cities. At that moment we were in a city named Hervey Bay, a small and cozy city close to Freaser Island. Nevertheless there was the place the Story began.
Me and my girlfriend went to Dominos to have dinner, because it was the only place opened in the city late evening, after we had our pizza we decided to go back home. Furthermore I was driving my car in the way of our hostel, then suddenly I sow in the distance something approaching and I decided to drive very slowly. I couldn’t see what was coming because it was foggy. Nevertheless when the “thing” got really close I sow that there were two guys naked, waking through the street, like it was pretty normal.
I still don’t know if it was for real or I saw some naked ghosts, but if I wasn’t dreaming I would say that Aussies have a really interest costumes at Christmas times.

bird nest soup?

Before the orientation day of my English school in Sydney, I went to the city by train to get familiar with the streets and know the way to go to the school. I had passed through some parks, and saw many birds in different sizes or species are walking, not flying leisurely. I was so surprising that how peaceful and concordant can human beings and the birds are in Sydney! They were just right beside the people who were relaxing there.
If the birds were in other countries, they would probably have been killed and put on the table being served as dishes already.

Help! That man stole my ipod!

From the first day I've been in Australia, I've been impressed on this country. Everything works perfectly, everything is organized, clean, sercure. The people is respectful and reliable.
One thing that really surprised me, was the public transport. It's amazing how you can organize your trip, without spending more time than necessary. When I arrived to my homestay and I was told how to get to college and the first thing I thought was ''I must leave home very early, because if I don't I will be late'' (probably it would have happen in Chile, my country). But I was completely wrong. The buses and the trains have a timetable, and always they arrive at the time that's on the schedule. I don't know how the Transport Minister could organize a big city as Sydney.
Another thing that caught my attention, is the people, and their culture. You can walk down the streets with valuable things, and be sure that nobody will steal it and run away. If you forget something in a restaurant, it is obvious that it will be in the same place you left it, and nobody would have taken it.
This are some things that make the diference between a developed country and one that is underway to develop. I'm sure that Chile is going that way, and we are closer than far from achieving.

A Fridge for Dinner?

This is my friend's story:
I live in a homestay, we are two girls there, our host is an amazing man that always is worried about our dinner. Even I am very picky with food, my room mate is worse. She love eating chicken, beef, fish, and she does not like to repeat, I mean two days eating the same meat it is not accepatable for her.

She talk English very well, but she has  four words confused. She say kitchen instead of chicken, and angry instead of hungry. Sometimes when our host ask to us what kind of food we want for dinner, she answers: I want kitchen we have many days without eat it. Our host making fun of this asks her: What part of the kitchen do you prefer? top or bottom? sink or cook top?, it is always funny, she tries to be concentrated but always she does the same mistake.

Another word for her is angry, now she learnt, and she says to our host: I am angry because I am hungry!!!!!!!!

But I need to confess that I have some words in English confused in pronuntiation: beach and bitch, have and half, sheet and shit.

To learn other languages could be fun, just enjoy it!!!!!!!!
